Cabinetry in Ghana

A quick update

I talked with Fr. Robert Hagan in Abakrampa, Ghana, the priest who is the contact person for distribution of our last container. No, the big steel box is still in the harbor, but so are five other containers addressed to the National Catholic Secretariat.

There are a couple of issues that came together as the perfect storm right when our container arrived in Ghana. Foremost is the recent government shake-up and reshuffle of cabinet ministers resulting in a backlog of work for Ghana customs officials and those who figure into the process of determining import taxes. I was also informed that December & January are not good months to ship anything to Ghana because the harbors shut down for Christmas. One might think they have recovered from that by now, however!

Meanwhile we wait for news of the container’s release.
