We're Moving!
Dear Blog Readers,
The news is that County Road 9 north of Willmar is scheduled to be rebuilt this spring and summer. Its new road bed cuts through our warehouse near Eagle Lake so the building will be coming down! The news might only be half bad because we’d like to ship everything in our garage to Ghana and start anew anyway. It’s only that this situation may force things a little quicker than we originally planned. The landlord would like us out of his space by the end of April.
I think the best plan would be to ship ¾ of a container in April and be done with it, but we don’t have enough money in the bank to make that work at the moment. Second best is to store what we have in a new place until we raise the funds to ship it to Ghana.
We’re working on a space in Belgrade that might become available and my only concern is the increased distance from Willmar, our main source of volunteer help. I’m posting this blog with the hopes that it might cause a brainstorm of possibilities or alternatives. E-quip Africa is having a board meeting soon and I could present your thoughts to them so I’ll appreciate any time you might give to this quandary.
It would be great if this website allowed replies to posts, but it does not and it isn’t feasible to set that up right now. How great that this website allows our registered users to post comments! (If you are receiving the e-news, you are a registered user). Just login to comment. Or...
