Give to the Max Day

GiveMN is a new nonprofit organization that has made it possible for small nonprofits like E-quip Africa to accept donations online. Sure, our webmaster (bless her sweet heart) could add a button taking us to PayPal or some other service where a fee or percentage might be charged. Due to some timely and generous grants to giveMN, this service is free to U.S. registered nonprofits in Minnesota.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009 was "Give to the Max Day" in Minnesota. Donations during that 24 hour period, (8:00 a.m. Tuesday--8:00 a.m. Wednesday) were "matched" by more donors generous to the nonprofit community. Defining "matched" will follow later after the report comes in. We know it is not a direct match, but how the matching funds will be divided among those nonprofits receiving donations that day will be revealed in due time... we hope. The graphic (above right) is a preliminary report.

E-quip Africa received nearly $1,500 of that 14 million! We LOVE our donors!!!
